Born in the hillside village of Okhaldunga, just south of the Everest region, Diku Sherpa brings the heart of the Himalayas to every trek she leads. Now based in Kathmandu, Diku is a government-licensed trekking guide with a growing reputation for her calm leadership, cultural insight, and deep knowledge of Nepal’s diverse mountain environments.

Diku officially began guiding in 2022, following two years of hands-on experience as an assistant guide. She has since led treks across many of Nepal’s iconic and lesser-known trails, including the Khumbu/Everest region, Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, Poon Hill, Mardi Himal, Tamang Heritage Trail, and both Lower and Upper Mustang.

Fluent in English, Nepali, Sherpa, and Hindi, Diku connects easily with both local communities and international trekkers. Her training includes first aid, rock climbing, rescue techniques, snow and avalanche safety, high-altitude risk management, and Leave No Trace principles.

Known for her professionalism, friendly approach, and strong adaptability to group needs, Diku is also a passionate advocate for women in trekking. Whether you’re navigating alpine passes or learning about the cultural heritage of the Himalayas, Diku ensures your journey is as enriching as it is safe.
