Khendu Sherpa

Khendu is a certified Himalayan trekking guide and accomplished mountaineer, and a valued member of the Base Camp Himalayas family. She is known for her strength, resilience, and calm leadership in high-altitude environments. With several years of experience guiding trekkers through some of the world’s most iconic mountain regions, she is dedicated to delivering safe, well-organised, and deeply rewarding experiences for her clients.

In November 2025, Khendu successfully summited Himlung Himal (7,126m) as part of an international expedition, demonstrating her endurance and capability at extreme altitude. She has also worked as a support climber on Lobuche Peak (6,090m), assisting with logistics, route safety, and client care in challenging alpine conditions.

Beyond her technical expertise, Khendu is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment in Nepal’s outdoor industry. She is committed to creating opportunities for women in trekking and mountaineering, inspiring the next generation of female guides and leaders.
