Lucie Herold

Originally from the Czech Republic, Lucie has called Australia home for the past 30 years. Her passion for travel and adventure began at the age of 14 when she joined a Scout group, sparking a lifelong love of hiking, trekking and exploring the outdoors.

Since then, Lucie has travelled to more than 30 countries and explored some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes. Her adventures have taken her through the Himalayas of Nepal and Bhutan, as well as the mountains, wilderness and remote regions of Australia, New Zealand and beyond. She is passionate about experiencing different cultures and discovering destinations beyond the typical tourist trail.

With a background in Travel, Tourism and Photography, Lucie brings a wealth of travel experience and a genuine enthusiasm for adventure. When she’s not planning her next journey, she enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including trekking, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking and diving.

As part of the Base Camp Himalayas team, Lucie looks after client enquiries and bookings, helping trekkers choose the right adventure and guiding them through the planning process. Her extensive travel experience, attention to detail and friendly approach help ensure that every client feels informed, supported and excited about their upcoming journey.
