Born and raised in the rugged beauty of the Manaslu region, Pema Choeden Lama is a passionate and energetic young guide who brings deep local knowledge and heartfelt hospitality to every trek.
Growing up in a very poor family in a remote village, Pema faced incredible odds. Determined to build a better future, she sponsored her own education in Kathmandu through hard work and perseverance. After completing her studies, she returned to her roots as a primary school teacher in the Gorkha district, helping educate children in the very mountains where she was raised.
Pema later followed her adventurous spirit into guiding, where she now leads trekkers across the trails of Manaslu, Annapurna, Everest and Langtang. Fluent in English and full of local insight, Pema is not just a guide — she’s a storyteller, a motivator, and a living example of resilience and determination.
