Rob Hanson

Rob grew up in the rugged Rocky Mountains of Montana, where he spent his time rafting and fly-fishing blue-ribbon trout streams, as well as hiking and backpacking in remote wilderness. A lifelong outdoorsman, he’s explored not only the Rockies but also the Cascades and National Parks of Washington, along with far-flung places like New Zealand’s Southern Alps, the rainforests of Costa Rica, and the dramatic landscapes of Glencoe, Scotland.

He has travelled to 12 countries and lived in both Australia and New Zealand, fully immersing himself in local cultures and outdoor adventures. Some of his favourite experiences include trekking and canyoning in New Zealand, wildlife tours in the cloud forests of Costa Rica and Hawaii and exploring Australia’s iconic Great Ocean Road.
